Brüel & Kjær wins factory prize
DENMARK, OCTOBER 2011
Brüel & Kjær's Vibration Test Systems (VTS) division has won the prize of "highly commended" at the Best Factory Awards 2011, in London.
Brüel & Kjær VTS’s UK-based factory was runner-up in the Best Electronics & Electrical Plant category. Having been entered for the awards in March 2011, Brüel & Kjær VTS was subsequently shortlisted for three categories: Best Electronics and Electrical Plant, People Management Award and Judge’s Special Award.
All nominated plants were also eligible for nomination for the Factory of the Year category.
Vice President of Brüel & Kjær Vibration Test Systems, Dr Lawrence Grasty said, “This is a great achievement for everyone at the Royston facility and a sure sign that we are on the right development path as a business.”
He added, “I am very proud of the Brüel & Kjær VTS staff for their hard work and support – not only during the judging period, but over the years – to develop and improve the business. I look forward to us all continuing the journey towards manufacturing excellence and continuing to improve our service to our customers.”
