Field Sales Engineer
Employment Function
This individual is to sell and support Bruel & Kjaer products. We currently have open positions in the following regions: Indiana, Ohio, Dallas, TX & Houston, TX.
Responsibilities and Authorities
Market and sell Bruel & Kjaer products and services to meet / exceed quota target.
Identify / develop relationships with new and existing customers
Practice effective key and target account management to maximize systems sales volume.
Requires experience in sales and thorough knowledge of Bruel & Kjaer products and services.
FSE is responsible for presenting a professional, knowledgeable and courteous image to the customer.
Main Tasks
Ability to educe from customers all facts to adequately recommend a satisfactory product solution
Identify new sales opportunities when talking with prospective customers
Attain and maintain technical proficiency in our instrument, software and sensor products
Represent Bruel & Kjaer at trade shows and other industry functions.
Enter new customers, activities, and forecast opportunities into master database
Identify new customers and markets for our products
Prepare and send quotations and correspondence.
Respond to invitations for bids.
Ability to identify service related problems and communicate to service department the related issues
Qualifications/Skills Required
University degree in Engineering or other technical field, preferably Electrical, Mechanical or Physics
Experience in successfully executing complex sales cycles
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Technical ability to learn diverse product line
Must be self motivated and organized
Must be organized and have ability to set priorities
Must be capable of handling numerous parallel tasks and projects
Working Environment Conditions
Works out of regional office or home office
Significant local travel required
Occasional national / international travel required (<5%)
Team working environment
Structured training program in acoustic and vibration theory, applications and selling techniques
